Shore Scripts 2025 TV Writer Mentorship Program
Maggie's original Western, Blue Belle, has been selected to advance as a Semi-Finalist in the 2025 Shore Scripts TV Writer Mentorship Program. Finalists and winners will be announced on September 3rd, 2025.

Logline: In 1856, five years after her family’s murder, a white girl with a blue chin tattoo leaves the Mohave tribe under threat of war—trapped in white society, and haunted by her past, she must find a way to survive in a world far more hostile than the wild.
Changing Lives GH
Partnering with Bank of America and Changing Lives GH, Maggie recently traveled to Ghana, Africa, to direct a commercial shoot, capturing the compelling story of real impact being made in Accra for underprivileged kids. Posting soon.
Say It In German
Set to shoot in 2026, feature film, Say It in German, chronicles the life events of three children who must cope with their beloved father's tuberculosis diagnosis, anti-German sentiment, and the poverty of war-time farming life in 1944 rural central Illinois.

The Carpenter
Maggie Mahrt's TV Pilot directing debut. A biblical series that follows the life of a beloved but often forgotten historical figure. Funding and series development are currently being pursued.
O, Brawling Love
Maggie Mahrt's feature film directing debut is on Amazon Prime. A romcom with magical realism, that follows two rival acting students forced to reconcile their differences and play lovers Romeo and Juliet in their final school play, vying for a life-changing prize.
Hollyshorts
An original screenplay, Zero to Sixty, written by Maggie Mahrt was chosen out of hundreds of submissions as one of the top 10 finalists for Hollyshorts screenplay contest! Check out the finalists here!
